Most guys can totally get into the whole fuck friends thing. Seriously, I mean, what’s there not to love? I mean, can you imagine having a friend that you can go hiking, camping, film fest hopping with, and at the end of the night have fun with that person? Seems like a match made in heaven, right? Seems like an adult version of a trip to the candy store.

I can see why guys get all excited about this, asking themselves “how to find a fuck buddy” but the problem is it’s too easy to overlook the obvious dangers. It’s too easy to focus on the plus side of such a relationship and completely gloss over the things that could go wrong. Don’t call me a joy kill. Don’t call me a buzz kill. I’m just being realistic here. I care about your emotional health.

Make no mistake about it, if you think that screwing around with your female friendships will have no emotional impact on you, you are only fooling yourself. Seriously, you have to remember that you’ve invested a tremendous amount of time and emotional energy in your existing friendships with females. It really would be a shame to flush all that down the toilet because you decided to add a physical element to your friendship.

I’m not saying that this is completely impossible. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t even think about this. What I am saying is that you should be a little bit more systematic and methodical regarding what you are planning. You have to understand that there are a lot more factors to consider other than just your physical needs. By looking at the big picture and getting a mature understanding of what you’re dealing with, you increase the likelihood that you would make a truly informed decision.

What I mean is that you would make the right moves and take the right calculated risks. This increases your likelihood of success. That’s how you play the game.
